How long does your snake stay in blue??

Hey i was wondering how long your snakes stay in blue before they actually shed? My snake is about 8 months old, he's shed a 2 times since I've had him. It seems like this time he's just been in blue longer than the others. It probably been 3-4 days and just hasn't been moving around as much either, just chillen out (atleast when i'm around) . How long do your snakes normally stay in blue? Just wanna make sure it's normal, thanks.

That sounds normal, my 4 month old amel stayed in blue for roughly 3-4 days before finally shedding yesterday. During that time he practically stayed in the same spot. So don't worry about the lack of activity, just make sure his tank is humid enough so he can get it all off.

If you're worried about humidity, you could give him a bath. You could either put some lukewarm water in a tub, or you could put him in the bath (just make sure the drainage holes are covered lol!) Either way, leave him in there for about 10 minutes and then put him back.

All the best

David

Yup, sounds right to me :)

Blue for a couple days, and keeping to himself in his hide.
I went and bought some sphagnum moss that I dampen and put in his hides to keep the humidity nice. He had a perfect shed his last shed :)
