How long have every body been keeping corns

I have been keeping snakes off and on for about 25 years. Some I caught, some I bought. Unfortunately in my younger years the folks wouldn't let me keep my pets inside Lol
Some of which included:
Glass snakes, Ribbon snakes, ring-necked snakes, Black Racers, Blue Racers, Banded water snakes, Corn Snakes, Yellow ratsnakes, Eastern Garter snakes, Retics, Boas.
I also happened upon a Eastern Diamondback(N Carolina), a baby copperhead (Pennsylvania)and a cottonmouth (Florida)during my little snake hunts but decided to leave them be.
The very first snake I bought was an Okeetee Corn snake in 79 in St. Pete Fl.. I think I paid 26 dollars and it was about 2 years old. At the time I had no idea what "okeetee" meant. The guy in the pet store made it sound like a cadillac so I bought it.
