I fed Jool every three days, now I feed hatchlings twice a week.
We used to buy batches of 25 pinks from our local pet shop. You had to place an order to them for pinks, they didn't have a freezer, the pinks came in unfrozen, they were sent out unfrozen and were killed on the day from wherever they came from. We then took them home and froze them.
Anyway, say if you're feeding twice per week (I feed Monday and Thursday for example), your baby will start out maybe one pink twice a week = two pinks. After I had Jool for about 6 weeks (she was about 2-3 months when I got her, about 11in long) , I noticed her looking up at me after she swallowed her pink. Thinking she was being friendly I put my hand down to her and ended up with a tiny snakelet attached to my index finger. She let go after a few seconds (unlike the 3ft+ boa that grabbed me two days ago. didn't appear she would let go, so I had to apply pressure behind her head).
I then realised that it was time for Ms Joolushko (she's named after a character in Farscape whose full name was Joolushko Tunai Fenta Hovalis) to get two pinks per feed.
So that was 2 pinks twice a week = 4 pinks
Within a few weeks she was on three pinks per feeding, so that was six pinks per week.
When the last of the final batch of pinks we ordered ran out, she was moved up to the next size fuzzy mice.
She'll eat a large mouse now, potentially a jumbo mouse, she's only a little corn, about 3 1/2 ft I'd say. She currently gravid with her third clutch this year and I just want her to get over and lay the d*** eggs, I don't care if they're fertile or not at this stage, I just want them out of her because I want her to be healthy and not become eggbound.
