How long is a thawed out pinky good for? I thawed out three this morning for my little ones and only two were eaten. When should I discard the other one? Is there a time frame?
To leave a mouse in the tank (from what I understand) some leave it overnight to a MAXIMUM of 24 hours, but most would throw it away after 12.
But if you have a non feeder and are forced to put the snake and the mouse in a deli cup (for example), overnight (imo) would be a VERY long time to leave a snake trapped in a little cup with no room to move (stressful for the snake). If it hasn't eaten in an hour or two (in those circumstamce), chances are it's not going to eat.
And if your snake continues to refuse food, it could be because it's being offered the same food too often.
Since you're just questioning the "leftover" mouse, I would say just toss it and don't offer another until the next scheduled feeding. If the snake was hungry enough, he more than likely would not have left that last one.
Yeah, I feed them in a seperate containers and usually they go right after them. I left the mouse in their for about 2 hours and and he didn't seem interested. I will wait a few days and try again. Like you said Spirit, if he was hungry he would of ate it.
