Hey Everyone,

Hope all is well with you all. I was wondering how much bigger Hoppers are then fuzzies? Does anyone have pics? Thanks a bunch in advance..... :)

Well of course the size varies depending on how old the fuzzy/hopper but maybe about twice the size. If you go to one of the online stores that sell f/t mice they generally have pictures/size guides.

Here are some pics from rodent pro. First are "peach fuzzies" then "fuzzies" and last "hoppers".

I agree with what Whitney said about size depending on age. When I order a package of 50 hoppers online they all are fairly close in size, but there are some that are smaller than others and some that are larger. This is helpful so that you can feed the smaller ones first and work your way up to the larger ones.
It's the same with fuzzies and most other sizes. If you buy 50 you are going to get some that are clearly a bit smaller and some that are clearly a bit larger.
If the pics in the above post aren't enough and you can't find any others I can snap a few for you. I just got a new shipment of pinkies through small adult sizes and need to aliquot them out this weekend. Heck, I may take some comparison shots for the fun of it! It would be a good reference as questions like this tend to come up from time to time. :)

I forgot to add that it will, of course, depend on the source you buy from. The general sizes are the same but some places allow a broader range within each size category. For instance, some places may only sell hoppers in the 8-11 gram range while other places may sell them in a 8-13 or so range.

Edit #2: Got a pic this evening showing the size differences/similarities. All 3 hoppers in this picture are about the same size, because I have already fed off about 35 of 50. I feed the slightly smaller ones first, so all I had for this pic were the ones on the larger end of the spectrum.

question though: did you eat the m&m's after the photo shoot?

LOL :sidestep:

Well, not this time. :D

I had just eaten a handful of them (m&m's not mice ;)) so I tossed those in for fun.

It was actually an ingenious idea! As you obviously know, we have different currency, therefore our coins are differently sized. Fortunately we DO have M&M's so we did have something to compare too :D

I said to myself..."Self, they don't have pennies and nickels in other countries...I'd better use M&M's as well!"

Sigh...If only I were actually that clever... :)

Actually, in retrospect, I'm glad I did do it this way. I figured this thread might be a good thing to reference when the question comes up again. I hadn't even thought about different currencies, but it looks like I might have my bases covered anyways (even if it was by accident  )!

Ahh, chocolate....one thing that can make my days seem brighter. :crazy02:

:-offtopic I, for one, cannot believe that the term "shiznit" has made it all the way to the UK! lol
