How much do you spend on food?

I know this is none of my business but I was wondering how much people here spend on food for one adult snake per year. I thought it might be useful for some beginners working out expenses.

My breeders take about £22 a year
My non-breeders are around £25

Well...I buy my mouse in 1000s right now....
and I use them for around 3-4 months.....(sometimes less....especially when it's summer...) That 1000 mice cost me around 400 Canadian...and I have more than 30 snakes to feed (right now...but soon I'll have much more than that...)
But for each individual....I think around 40 dollars canadian a year...
adults...less...
hatchlings and yearlings...more...

I spend about 110.00 dollars per year for 9 snakes.

50.00 roughly, usually 40.00 to buy a fresh group of mice (I already own all the equiptment mind you cages bottles etc) and around another 5 dollars per month to fed them. Giant bags of mouse mix are 10.00 and last my colony about 2 months with dog food as treats, and table scraps of course!

And bingo, food for 9 snakes.

I Just did some sums and worked out that it costs me about 160-180 pounds every year to keep three snakes. Actually, it costs my parents 160-180 pounds each year but I'll be getting a job soon- hopefully.

Substrate is about £52
Heating is around £50 *
Food is around £65

* eight pence pet KwH

I've got two females now and, when I start breeding them, it should raise enough money to pay for some of the cost- allowing for the costs of the hatchlings themselves (about three pounds per snake).

When I start breeding on a slightly larger scale and have several snakes I'll most probably breed my own mice. Does anyone here do that? I must have details Lol.

yes

That was what my post was above, I breed my own mice all winter long. Enough to supply the feeding of 9 snakes during the winter and enough to stock pile for summer when I dont have any live mice producing.

It's to hot here in the summer for them to breed and the summer break gives me an excuse to kill off last seasons mice colony, and start fresh for the winter. Like I said, I only spend about 110.00 per YEAR on nine snakes.
