How much handling

I have had my 4 month old corn for about 6 weeks. Except for waiting a couple days after feeding, I handle him about everyday. He is very good with it but sometimes after about 10-15 minutes he does the poop on me thing. Is he mad about the handling or is the movement from me holding him stimulating the response? Also is there a better time of day to handle? He is in his hide (s) all during the day so I have to uncover him to handle during the day since he is never out.

i`ve had my 18" snow corn for almost a week and i`ve gotten into the habbit of handling her several times a night but only for a minute or two each time, and again for a minute or two each morning - she seems happy enough in my hands.
As for the pooping bit, yer i`ve heard that some corns tend to poo on their owners :)
nothing to worry about in my opinion

hey!

all seems normal in your neck of the woods. You seem to do things pretty well. You should try bathing your corn before you handle it. I use a rubbermaid container and I put about 5 inches of water in it (make sure that the water is pretty much at the same temp as you. Never let it be warmer, somewhat cooler is ok). Then let it poo in the water, then you can handle it without worry that it will poo on you.

Also, if you put it back in its cage right after it poos, it will start to think that if you put it back after it poos then that's all it has to do to get you to put it back. If it poos on you hold it for a while longer and then put it back.
