I have heard a lot of things about feeding corn snakes and mine is a great eater will eat two pinkie mice in one time is that two much or is it ok?

Whether it is too much or just right depends on the size of the snake, and they all grow at different rates. Do you know the weight of your snake?

i do not know the weight im going to be picking up a scale end of this month at the reptile expo. i think my snake actually might be ready for fuzzy mice not sure though.

Corns are opportunistic feeders in the wild and are capable of eating until they throw up. Just because he can eat two pinkies at once, doesn't necessarily mean it's good for him. However feeding double pinks is a good way of preparing to move him up a food size. If two pinkies leave a lump in his belly for 24-48 hours after feeding and you feed no more than every five days, then that's he's fine as he is.

If the lump disappears within 24 hours of feeding then it's probably time to move up a food size. Remember that as food items get bigger, you should feed less often. This allows their digestion time to work properly and makes sure they don't get overweight. A fat Corn has the same risk of life-limiting health problems as any other fat animal.

As a general guide, the item you feed should be no more than 1.5 times the width of the Corn's body (not the head or neck). Whilst they can eat larger, this tends to carry a higher risk of regurging.

You should feed your baby once a week, with an apropriate sized pinkie. If its eating two pinkies without a lump I would try large pinkies.

Feeding isn't quite as scientific as people make it out. Snakes like people don't all fit into the same pattern. I've found that's it's rather difficult to overfeed a baby snake as long as you use common sense and keep them at the proper temperature.

Yea the tank is 82-85 during day and 78-80 at nite on hot side. When ever I place lynx in the feeding tank he knows it's feeding time.
