Ok so lately I have received some new members. They are actually fairly big. (at least double as my previous biggest than any of my others) ANYWAY ENOUGH RAMBLING. My question is I have 2 male that I'm not trying to get to grow anymore, well maybe a little but it is more about maintaining. I have a 03 butter thats 760 grams and a 02 anery thats 812grams. how often and what should they be fed. The previous owner was feeding them once a week 1 jumbo mouse (50grams). would this be good?
 
for an adult animal the feedings can be stretched to 10 days, and teh food item should be about 1 1/2 times the width of the snake's body at its largest point.
 
the 812 is about as big as atoilet paper roll or (larger) at his largest point. I get the whole 1.5 thing but I would need to feed him rats to do the 1.5 thing. I just want to maintain his size. once a snake is pretty much full grown could you feed it something 1 times its size? or would they start loosing weight? Maybe a rat 1 time the size would be better less fat more protein. :shrugs:
