How much vertical space does a corn need...?

I'm putting together my own "rack" (found the perfect shelving unit at Ikea on super sale!) and I found a nice big tub that fits a shelf perfectly, but I wonder if it's too short for a corn to be happy? I'd estimate the floor space is about 2'x3' (I'm not at home right now) but the hight is about half a foot. Or, in metric units, about 1 meter x 0.6 meters floor, 15 cm high. (again, guesttimates)

I've always figured that floor space is more important than climbing space but corns do seem to like to climb some... at least, I notice when I'm holding one it usually tries to go up, whereas my kenyan sand boas (burrowers) try to go down!

Sounds good. Corns do not need "vertical space" to be content. They are opportunistic and will climb to seek prey if necessary.

Agree. All of my corns have prefered to bury themselves over climbing up into a fake plant or anything else of the sort.

My snakes in tubs have 30cms clearance but my display viv is 60cms tall and had lots of branches and a 'cliff textured' back wall which they use a lot. My snow even has a 'digestion shelf' where he goes without fail after a meal!!

Whilst they don't stricktly need the height, I think it's nice for them to have the opportunity to move in 3 dimensions a little so I'd be more likely to make the tubs a little taller (IM very HO)
