how often do they drink?

your_only_nightmare

Enouth corns yet?
i was wondering how often corns drink, becuase on another forums someone told me that they drink barly anything, but iv read on some care sheet that, the reason you have to change/refill waqter daily or every 2 days is becuase there big drinkers... which staement is right?

In my experience, my snakes dont really drink much except after they are fed. The reason for the changing water every two days it to keep bacteria from forming in the water, just in case they do drink it.

I honestly don't know how often mine drink. I just know that certain ones tend to empty a small bowl faster than others so they must drink more.

Yeah, I started a post like this a while ago and I never see my corn drink. I still change the water every 2 days, but I still have not seen him drink. I tried to put him in a bowl of water (not too deep) but he wanted nothing to do with it. Hopefully he is drinking or else I'm in trouble.

It also has something to do with that snakes get most of their water from their food, so therefore dont need to drink as often as say, cats or dogs.

yea thats what i figured when i noticed how wet the pinky mouse was a few days ago from my 1st time feeding.

Mine do drink every day/other day.

Since one of mine was poorly & I was told he was slightly dehydrated, I have been introducing hi to the water & every time he has lapped it up like he has never drank before.. He is allot better !

Finally caught my snake drinking... I think. I turned on my light last night and he was hoovering over the bowl. I didn't actually see him drink but I have to imagine he was drinking. Silent assassins.

when u put him back into his viv hold him in the middle and let his head dangle towards the water bowl.every time ive doen this he gulps down the water.try it :)
