Here is my situation my almost year old extreme okeetee male was making noises. This was even after he shed and he eats so I took him to a specialist who looked inside he said his mouth looked good even where the his small breathing organ in his mouth is and no mucous he also said but he did notice minor bubbles back his mouth. He couldn't do a lung wash cause AJ was too small so he was given a deworming and Fortaz injections for 27 days. This is day 6 and still there is clicking. I keep his warm side at 88 degrees and cool side at mid 70's.. does anyone used Fortaz before I am just wondering how many injections till he is no longer doing this and oh yes he is in quarantine

Many Vets recommend Fortaz because it's not as harsh a broad spectrum antibiotic as Baytril. It is commonly administered to reptiles with good success. However, without a culture to test the effectiveness of the drug the Vet is hoping that the odds are good that your corn will respond to the treatment. Typically the drug is administered by IM injection every 72 hours. I've not heard of daily injections, but your specialist, and I hope he or she is a veterinarian, knows more about that than I do. Response to Fortaz can be quick, but most vets insist on a full treatment period to ensure the snake is fully cured.
