How to heat?

Those UTH's get well over 120 degrees in just 20 minutes. Don't go all out for the expensive kind just buy a BAH1000 from big apple herp $40 shipped to your door for when you need it:)
 
Got my first corn from a local breeder! He's a beautiful anery and the breeder gave me very region-specific help for this topic and even sold me several dozen pinkies. Unlike what I've heard, he didn't immediately go hide upon being released in his tank. He's spent nearly his entire time here perched in the plastic plant! Checked the bottom of the tank temp just to be sure, it's fine, so i guess it's just a quirk of his.

I have dubbed him Boo Radley.
 
One problem i am having, however, is with humidity. It usually hovers around 40 on the humidity gauge in the tank, and jumps up to 70 if I spray it down, but quick dissipates. Will placing a piece of cardboard on top of the screen help contain some humidity?
