how to switch from live to thawed?

Shaky

Ought to know better
Especially in the little ones who only eat one pink per feeding.
Need advice.
Thanks

I want to try to do this as well.
easy to do with a young snake only on one pinki per feed get a live one and put it into a small box with the snake for a while leave it and all should go according to plan if urs is a happy feeder if the snake pays no attention take the pinki away and try again in a couple of days

The key is to wait till their feeding response is well established. Once they will eat without being shy about it you can take a f/t pinkie and wiggle it to get their attention. They will usually take it with no problem. Remember with hatchlings and hesitant feeders patience is very important:D Don't try to rush things.

Yeah, like Alicia said, wait until a feeding responce is well established and then make the switch. What I do for my hatchlings is to put the frozen pinky in a plastic bag and then into some warm (not hot) water for ten minutes to defrost and to warm up a bit. Then I hold the mouse with large tweezers or tongs and wiggle it around in front of the snake, making it think it's alive.
