So yesterday was my 2nd day with my baby corn. All day I could not see her/him, in the cage, I was freaking out, thinking I had lost it already! Turns out, she likes to burrow under her aspen alllllll day...

PS...I have my UTH at 85 right now, and if I wanted to put a light on for viewing, what wattage should I use and what temperature should it be on top of the rock? I have the UTH under a rock, and I would keep that at 85. Would the top of the rock be 85 as well, or higher/lower? Thank you!!

The temperature on the surface of the cage and underneath the aspen should be 85 degrees in the warm spot over the UTH. Otherwise try to keep the ambient temperature around 75~ degrees, but if it gets a little warmer or cooler then that it's okay. Keeping the temperature at the warm spot is most important, your snake will burrow where she needs to to get the right temperature. :)

I'm not really sure what kind of lights to suggest for displaying/viewing, but it doesn't need any heat at all.

What color snake do you have? Snows are so hard to see in the aspen!!
