So I finally picked up my lovely little hatchling, Maxwell. I was picking up a live for my ball python, and I couldn't resist the sale on 20 gal tanks. And with a quick trip to Lowes, and some fun in the garage, I managed to split it. I'm so excited! Unfortunately, poor Edmond's still not very happy about the move.

Looks great! I really like the aesthetics of your viv's. Congratulations on your new addition :D

Oh, and by the way, the blue is just some non-toxic ink my neighbor was using to make whose been feeding regularly. It'll be gone in a couple of days when he sheds.

Aw, thanks everyone. I've always been reeeallyy picky with the aesthetics of my vivs. I like to have everything just kind of flow together nicely. And I'm really diggin' how the plexiglass came out.
One question though, I'm simply terrible at distinguishing morphs. Could anyone tell me what my little Maxwell is?

Hard to say what maxwell is....some sort of amel. Ask the breeder if possible....otherwise I'd say it's safe to call him an amel.

Also what is the divider made of? I'd be careful if it's plexiglass....that bulb may melt or warp it.

sorry, double post

I just noticed the blue on him!! that is cool!! Is that genetic or is it just mark he got? If it is genetic, as soon as he is right size and age, get him to a female!!!!

Now THAT is a beautiful viv! I love your corner water dishes, I've never seen those before. Did you get them at the shop or special order them?

Oh, I got those just over at Petco, actually. They're stone (or some form of ceramic) and only like, $8.
But oh my GOD I have to tell you about my scare. So I wake up this morning, and find Maxwell's shed. I automatically knew it was his because I saw the blue ink. So I start looking for him, to see how his colors look now. I lift up his hide, and find EDDIE, curled up underneath. Apparently, theres still a weak spot up at the top of the divider. And Eddie got over. I immediately panicked, starting pulling everything out and shuffling through the substrate looking for my little Maxwell. I honestly thought Eddie might've eaten, when my mother told me to check Eddie's side. And sure enough, sitting under Eddie's tree was my little Maxwell, all freshly shed. I'm glad neither of them are hurt, but it definitely SCARED THE CRAP out've me. Will be fixing the divider ASAP.
