Humid Hide

I'm pretty sure i did the right thing..

I noticed that Matilda was paler last night when i got home from work, I'm not sure how long it takes her to shed (first shed with me) so i might have missed the 'blue phase'.

So i rumaged through the cupboards and found a cup cake/muffin case container(plastic) made a hole in it, then put a moist paper towel in it.
Checked it this morning, and its all misted up, good stuff.

Do you think i should give her a little soak later?

Thanks

A humid hide is the right thing when a snake is in shed. Just make sure, is doesn't get moldy.
Normally, if they have a humid hide (and it looks like she uses it), an extra bath is not necessary and would stress her anyway. When the shed is done and the tail tip of the old skin remained on the snake, you can soak it a few minutes and then gently (!) get it off.
What is the air humidity in your viv?

The "blue phase" (milky shedding secretion between old and new skin) takes between 3 and 6 days with mine. After that, there is a clear phase (the shedding secretion is reabsorbed) of 2 to 5 days. The shed itself takes a few minutes.

Greetings,
marike

The hide sounds great and should do the job nicely. No need to worry about the ambient humidity in the rest of the tank now it's in there.
