Humidity and Humidity Box

Hey there,

I was doing a search earlier and came across a photo of a humidity box for shedding. I liked the idea, so I made one more Shaza, he's about to shed. However, I took note of the humidity in his tank and it's between 40-50% and it fluctuates between from time to time.

He is only a baby and in a 2 1/2 gallon at the moment. He fits in the plam of my hand, easily. I will be moving him to a five and then the 25 long I've had ready for him for months (lol, geeze... not getting in there anytime soon). However, I am wondering if a humidity box will take the humidity in the 2 1/2 gal up way too high? Is that ok temporarily until he sheds?

Thanks!

It should only rise in the humidity box not make the whole tank higher.
So you should be fine

Ah, thank you so much Lennycorn. I appreciate the quick reply. I kept turning back in my computer chair, eying the small box suspiciously o_O

Just so you know, corns don't need high humidity like other snakes, only when there is a shedding issue. Which seems to me happens more when they are young than older.

Good luck Sarah

I thought you should know that Shaza shed beautifully last night! He looks wonderful :)

It came off as one solid piece.

I appreciate all the advice, thank you :)
