Humidity

I was curious about the humidity in her viv. I'm in Alberta and it's very dry here, especially in the winter.

I bought a hygrometer (sp) and it measured barely 30%. I bought some moss and sprayed it, and set it in the bottom of the viv. Now it's 60%. Is this much humidity ok all the time? Should I only be concerned about humidity when I notice she is about to shed?

TIA
Kathy

Too much humidity all of the time isn't a good thing, and can lead to RI's.

You only need to worry about humidity during the shedding period. If you want to create a moist hide with the moss when the snake is in blue, then you can, but I wouldn't do it as a permanent thing.
