Hurrah! He ate!

Mr.AJ

Educated Horse.
I've had a most excellent day with the snakes today!

First of all had a good handling session with Chompy no aggression and no trying to dart back out of his tank!. Even posed for a few photos..! He ate his food straight off the bat AND i had chance to clean his tank out fully, and moved his decor around to try and make him stay out in his tank longer - Which worked! Fot the first time in the last 3 months he actually just hung around in the open for 40-50minutes - Only shy'd away when i snapped a few photos.

Then to make the day even better my new BP, Which had point blank refused food 3 days ago ate!. Was a bit touch and go at first, he seemed to actually be afraid of the mouse (Coiled up his his head covered - something he doesn't do when i put my hands in normally!) but eventually (After half an hour of waiting with the mouse on the ground infront of him and then another 10 minutes of dangling it infront of him and reheating the mouse) he started to take notice and follow the mouse around as i was dangling it then BAM! It was ripped out of the pliers and he was throwing coils around it. I'd seen him eat before but it was a completely different experience feeding him myself! Especially compared to chompy who's hunting technique is akin to sitting under a tree with his mouth open hoping something falls in (Or rather, crawling around the tank with his mouth open until he manages to shovel something in.)

Sorry for the partly useless thread, But i'm chuffed to bits with the way todays turned out!. Theres a few photos of Chompys new viv layout up on my
but heres one for you guys who don't want to have to click through from this site!.
