Hypo (coral) snow

Snake Addict!
Someone asked to see some photos of my snow, so here they are (from oldest to most recent):

These first two are washed out:

These three are closer to his actual color:

Thanks for the compliment. I certainly agree with you! :D (Actually, Don S. has a few that surpass his colors, but don't tell my snake that.)

Unfortnately, no, I won't be breeding him. I was planning on breeding him with a friends snake, but we found out about 4-5 months ago that his snake is actually a male. So that idea was thown out the window.

I'm planning on mating him with my ghost poss. het amel next year (or maybe sooner if she gets up to weight before then, but I doubt it). Hopefully she'll prove to be het amel and I will get a few more coral snows.

(Side note: Everytime I see your signiture, I have to laugh, because I never REALLY looked at it very well for the longest time. Originally I had thought you had posted a quote by Harrison Ford, not Henry Ford. Silly me.)

Yeah, that snake is fantastic. I've never wanted a snow until now. So is a Coral still just a snow, like a sunglow is still just an amel? Or is there something else there that I don't know about?

Thanks for the pictures.:)

A coral snow is homozygous for hypo as well as amel and anery.

The hypo for some reason deepens the pinks.

Harrison Ford ... Henry Ford -- I get them confused ALL the time too! LOL

I would be really interested in breeding a coral snow like that into the motley lines. I think the coloration on a motley pattern would be fantastic! It's probably already been done several times, but I haven't seen one.

I know that motley has the psuedo-hypo effect, but having the actual hypo gene interacting with the motley would be stunning on a snow, in my opinion. I wonder, are all of Don's corals simply hypo A, or are there other hypos that have the same effect?

Nice~
I like him when he's a little hatchling~
so cute and innocent~~
lovely photos!

Gorgeous snake!

Wow! I just picked up my first cornsnake and he is a 8 mo. coral snow. I hope he grows up to ba as beautiful as yours!!!;)

Very nice snakes !

motley would definatly be great, but it might be kinda hard to produce, having 4 homo genes isn't very easy ... if you can get a motley snow it might help a lot :)

I just looked at them again today in person. I bought my Aztec Okeetee from him. I really like the bright colors, and I'm not really partial to snows or blizzards, but.......man!
