hypo???

i paired a ghost bloodred male to an amel unknown hets .. corn calc said i should have all norms het amel,hypo,diffuse , and anery .. but i got a mix of these two colors pretty even distribution .. im thinking maybe amel was het for hypo?? what yall think?? last pic is parents

Are the photos pre or post shed? For years I thought I could easily tell a hypo hatchling from the normal ones until 1 clutch hatched from a ghost motley X amber pairing. All the hatchlings looked like normals to me, darker than the suspect hypos you hatched out and nothing like the hypos I usually hatched out. I only have 1 female from that clutch and she does look more like a hypo now, but I'm going to test breed her, just in case. I would recommend you look closely at the belly checks and compare the color between the 2 groups of hatchlings. That was the only indication I had early on in my odd clutch, the belly checks were lighter than a normals would be at that age.

I'm definitely thinking your amel is het. hypo. If they really are hypo's the checkers should be a lot lighter when they shed

the chequers may also 'fade' towards the centre of the belly too if they are hypos
