I bought another snake today and was told she is a hypo motley. I understand what motley means, but what does hypo mean? I searched around but couldn't really find anything. Thanks.
 
It's short for Hypomelanistic, meaning reduced melanin, the dark pigment. Usually hypo corns have less black or the black is more brownish, and the reds and oranges are somewhat brighter.
 
IMO, hypo looks it best when combined with the motley gene! These are some progression pics of my male.
