What a shame that both of you lost similar animals. I wonder if there is something inherent in the ruby eyed gene or something?
 
I don't think it has to do with the ruby eyed's...but you never know...

Sounds like almost the same pattern in both, though...

I walked around pissed for a couple of days...
My poor wife and kids...I hate being crabby with them...but the loss definitely was eating at me...

Regardless of whether or not I could have done anything more...
