I guess I lucked out with mine. My cali king is the most docile snake I've ever handled. Never jerks or squirms, never moves at anything other than a nice easy pace. I can hold him in my hand and most the time he'll just sit there and barely move. Every once in a blue moon he'll hiss and lunge at me but never makes contact.
