Ok, Its kinda Isabel's fault too!

I got hooked, did all my research, saved my money... and still couldnt get bearded dragons off my mind. I went to the pet store to get feeder mice, and came home with a dragon too.. The store had three and they all screamed "HELP ME!":uhoh: .... I already had everything all set up and snaped a quick photo that evening...

Well, I named her Blue. Her head was/is usually a blue grey ish color on top... The next week I went back to get crickets... they only had one dragon left, this poor little guy was in bad shape. The owner of the store said that since the other two dragons had gotten sold, the little guy went down hill. They had him half off. Prolly cause they didnt think he would make it. Well what do I do??? I take him home.. The first full day home he eats great, day two he is lying on his side looking dead. Not sure he woulda made it if I hadnt have taken him home. Now he is bigger than Blue. He got the name Maize. Not only is he yellower in colour than Blue.... but Im from Michigan and now live in Ohio.. lol..

Im a bad mom and have no growing up photos as i miss placed my camera for a time... but guess what?!?!?! I found it...

Here is Maize and Blue from this past week...

thank you raven...that was fast... you want a dragon... Up untill about two weeks ago I wasnt sure about the sexes... but I was calling them correct.. Blue is a girl and Maize is the boy... not sure they have figgured this out yet...
when they were both young Maize was the first to do the arm wave... well with in a week they both were doin the arm wave... lol. Today is the first time i saw a head bob out of Maize and a few minutes later i saw a slight head bob out of Blue. If your going to do it so am I... lol.. Maize loves greens, and I think thats the only reason Blue eats them...

Are they housed together? Because If they're male and female you can get breeding while Blue is still to young.
The same problems as you can get with corns being gravid too soon, can happen to beardies too. They have a bigger chance of getting eggbound, and also beardie females are still growing when they are fysically capable of breeding. When they become gravid at that time, growth can be stunted too, as they put all their recourses in the eggs.
How old are they? From what I can find, best is no breeding (for the female) until she is at least 2 years old (some do it sooner though). I believe she can theoretically mate from somewhere a little under a year old, so if they're younger you're safe for the time being.
Maybe you already know that, sorry for the ranting then :), just giving information in case you were not aware of this.
And they surely are beautifull!! The cloudy eye is probably the third eyelid that snapped just as you took the pic. If you *try* to get that, you'll miss it :)

No Blankies yet... lol.. but ive been thinking about it.

Thanks Kali and Waldo... They do live seperate. I seperated them as soon as i could after I could tell their sex (like the pic on the link that Waldo sent)... They do get bath time together, they usually fall asleep in the warm water..lol.. When I introduce new greens, or when I introduced the grapes they were allowed to be together... For some reason they are only brave enough to eat new things if they are together..lol.. They are housed right next to each other, so they can still see each other.. I dont want them to have any lil ones, and am considering selling her due to space (had to move a snake to a smaller viv for a lil bit) and money constrictions...

Thanks Danielle,

Update... Maize usually bobs his head at his own reflection, just not five minutes ago he did the head bob at Blue (through the viv glass, but still).... All together baths and greens and photo shoots are forbidden...

Blue seems ok with this... but I told Maize and he blackbearded me... dont think he was too happy bout the news..
