I got my Beardie!

Crazy Critter Lady
I got myself a Bearded Dragon yesterday. I am getting conflicting info on how long to leave him a lone before handling him. I know with Corns its about a week, so what do you guys think?

I will get better pics soon, I used my webcam for these lol!

That viv is very tall for him. In order for UV light to be effective, it has to be within 8 to 12" of the animal, and I think with a 20 tall that is tough to do... so either find a way to raise his "perch" or see about getting him a 20 long. He won't be able to stay long in that 24" tank, anyway... my baby is about 4 months old and is already 9" long, about to outgrow his 20 Long.

Good luck with him!

He's in a 29 and I am working on raising the floor level for him. He is eating ok for having just come home. I've been told that as long as he eats some he will improve once relocation stress wears off. He is only 6 inches long and I was told about 1 -1.5 months old. I just ordered a bunch of stuff for him, he's so awesome! In December we will be getting a 40 breeder or a bit bigger so no worries on cage size, its temp.

Awwwww he is so itty bitty! It is hard to believe Fluff was ever that size. I have seen these images before on Bearded Dragon.org

For a sec. I thought it was just an empty tank LOL what a tiny little bugger. I considered a beardie but they need more tank than I have space for :/ I'm sticking with the leos :D

I thought about leos actually and could have gotten 2 for $30, but I have always wanted a beardie. This guy does not seem to like crickets much, she does eat a bit of her greens each day (had a friend look and they think Phantom is a girl) but only one or two crickets. I ordered a bunch of pheonix worms and reptiworms and dubias for her. Trying to trade the current cage for a 20 long or the tank and one or two corns I would not mind rehoming for a 40 breeder. And to the comment about these pics being on Beardeddragon.org, I joined on Tuesday or wednesday and post them there too :D
