helix is an awesome stat. and ranco you can get prewired with a power strip on them from boaphile and a really long probe chord. love boaphile, so many great products from them. and i used a herpstats when i watched over my buddies 2 boas, and a carpet in a 3 cage stack using heat tape. but that was the same size cages with same size heat tape so they were all able to be plugged into one. for you i would maybe get a couple. run the cage on and the rack on one.
 
I got my ranco from reptile basics prewired with the large powerstrip though I hear ordering these from refridgerator type places is cheaper if you know how to properly wire them:)

it is. i always want to try it, but never wanna risk it. someday i will.
