So this is my first time breeding snakes, and I think I did a really good job :) Then again, maybe my snakes did a good job... Anyway, I decided to post these here cause not everyone reads the breeding section. I got 15 eggs, they look perfect :)

Here are the eggs:

And here is mom, looking quite a bit worse for wear:

And now the road to recovery for my darling amel Sem. I'm excited to see what I get from these, cause the hatchlings could be all amel het stripe, or i could get amels, aneries and snows het stripe, all depending on Sem... C'mon murphy!!!! :) :) :)

Thanks! I wouldn't rush into breeding though, enjoy your snakes while they are young cause once they grow up, you actually feel it when they bite you lol. I'm expecting another clutch from my snow soon... hope fully she will enter her pre-lay shed in another 10 to 14 days.

Sorry, I didn't realize who I was replying too lol. I'm pretty sure you know all about it don't you. Just got caught up in the excitement of it all.

Certainly! He is the favorite of my modest collection, a 20 month old high pink stripe snow names Tiko

Pics really wash him out, but I did my best for a couple Munson shots:

And the token belly shot:

In real life, he is striking pink on the top half and bright yellow on the bottom half.

Oh,good for you!I really miss all the feelings/experience I had last year with my first clutch.. :eek1:
I wish you the best luck!

Roy - Thanks so much, coming from you and your astounding collection, that means a lot

Jimmyman28 - I'm so excited to see the hatchlings. Sem has unknown hets so far, and I know that crossing an amel and snow limits what I can get, but it is the difference between a bunch of little red snakes, or a bunch of little red, black and white snakes :)

suecornish - If I happen to be around to catch them pipping then you bet your butt there will be pics of the hatching. If not, then only about a million pics of newly hatched babies.

I really hope everything goes well, I have them incubating in a plastic shoebox between 82 and 84 degrees in moist sphagnum moss. I think I will be bubbly excited if I can even get 1 healthy hatchling outta all 15.
