Peeple of zee wurl, relax
Hello

It's been awhile since I posted but my 1st clutch of the season is almost done hatching I am have been more than thrilled with the results.

This is the result of a Amel hurricane motley het caramel and anery X Ultramel het motley, caramel and anery. The anery A gene was a nice surprise as I woke up to a gorgeous snow motley yesterday morning. Stripe is also apparently floating around as I have a couple striped motleys as well.

So far it's been a rainbow clutch:

Not the best pics, but I wanted to get some quick shots before I put them into their containers. I'll update after the first sheds.

Enjoy!

Congrats!

Don't confuse Striped Motleys as having the Stripe gene. Motleys can have a striped form, of Motley, without the stripe gene.;)

stripe

Hear you. But I dug my my email from the breeder and he did say that stripe was possibly there as well as the anery. He was 2 for 2. :bird:

A het Motley, that is also het Stripe, will have a Motley phenotype (including the plain belly). So, if your Ultramel is het Motley, and has a normal pattern, it cannot be het Stripe. Just saying.:)

I was referring to the female motley. I didn't buy the parents as a pair let alone from the same breeder...

I see.
Actually, my primary (good) intention was just to say that one cannot be certain that a snake is het Stripe if it produces the striped form of the Motley pattern.
However, I can see where you may think it is possible, to have the Stripe gene in there, considering that it is the female, that you are referring to, and that she may, actually, be a Motley-Stripe rather than a homozygous Motley.
(Just wanted to clarify ... moving on :) ).
