I need some feeding advice please!

Short and Sweet
Hi all -

I just got a snow motley female on sunday - I've brought her home and let her be, she seems to be doing really well.
I will be leaving on friday and won't return until sunday. I didn't want to feed her thursday or friday in cause she regurged, but I didn't really want to wait until next week. So do you think it would be ok if I tried to feed her tonight? I know you are supposed to wait 3 -5 days... but I just thought I would see what everyone's opinion was!

Thanks!

WOW! That was the first time I've ever seen a snake eat in person - the second I showed her the mouse she just went at it and it was gone in a flash! I'm so proud of her! I hope it sits well in that little tummy! :)
Thanks so much! What a great experience! I've got some pictures... I'll post them soon!

Good news that she fed for you right away. I suspect you won't have any problems at all. FWIW: I feed the day they arrive before shipping shock sets in. Gets them going right away. I just make sure I leave them strictly alone for the next few days.

I'm with you, Meg, I usually feed them the first day then leave them to settle unless I know they're still digesting. (I think it also helps me to fight the 'check on them' urge for the first few days if I know they've eaten

Thats interesting - that isn't something I've heard of anyone doing before - but I suppose it makes sense! Nike wasn't shipped, she just went for a ride in the car so it might have helped - do you think I aught to try and feed the male I have being shipped in next wed. right away?

its up to you mate if he seems setling in right away go for it,and if he seems all wierd dont....use your instinct

Some will eat, some won't. Of the three Okeetee's I got originally, one wouldn't eat unless she was in the viv hiding in her cave. It took quite a few feedings before I could put her in a seperate container. Try feeding in the evening and see what happens. If it eats, great. If not, wait a week.
