• Hello!

Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....

Please be certain that the location field is correctly filled out when you register. All registrations that appear to be bogus will be rejected. Which means that if your location field does NOT match the actual location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected.

Sorry about the strictness of this requirement, but it is necessary to block spammers and scammers at the door as much as possible.

I read that...

I've heard more people argue against it's use than for it to be honest.

It's not very hygenic, hard to spot clean. When you do clean it, you have to remove it from the viv, give it a good clean and wait for it to dry. Which means you really need 2 pieces of astroturf, one being cleaned and one for the viv.

The other problem seems to be that it's not much use for snakes to burrow in, which corns love to do.

I'm sure there are plenty of people with a different view but for what it's worth, that's mine.

I've heard that too but I'll stick to beech chips. I think the disadvantages include the fact that you have to have 2 so you can wash one and let it dry fully before putting it back or you can get fungus and mould problems but I know there are others...as well as a lot of advantages I'm sure, I just don't know them. Who uses it out there?
