I suppose I should introduce myself...

Debbie45

The biggest noob ever
I've already been posting around the threads, but I never really introduced myself. I'm Debbie... I'm 18. I just moved to Cali for college going to Cal State... pre med with a double major in history and chemistry.

I love all animals, horses are my favorite, but now I'm really getting into snakes. I got my first corn last week and I love him to death. I'm not sure what kind he is... but he's really pretty (or so I think =P) His name is Jack Vodka. Jack for Jack Sparrow and vodka because that is my drink, hypothetically (If I was a drinker... which I'm not because I'm underage. =P). I've got a pionus parrot named Caesar Agustus... or just Auggie. I love movies and books.... hmm... I love traveling... not sure what else there is to say about me.

Soo... hello there =P

Hi Debbie :wavey: and officially welcome to the forum.

I'm pretty sure we have already crossed paths on here. Congrats on the new snake. They are addictive.

Rich... we most defintly have. =P I asked a ton of questions and you and Nanci really helped me out haha. I appreciate it.

Oh yea, I remember now. Sorry I have short term memory problems  Or maybe it is just selective memory, who knows :p

Glad I could be of some help. If you have questions in the future, I hope I can help you then also.

History for pre-med? Interesting choice... Or could it be because you are just interested in history?

Its actually because I was reading the admission standards and just talking to some people and they said med schools like to see well rounded students, not ones that are all science science science. I was going to have a language minor, but I couldn't decide between Itallian and German, so I went with history just because its another thing I enjoy.

Buut... I do love languages haha... so I plan to become fluent in at least KOrean and Itallian. Standford's med school loves languages =P

Welcome Debs!

Nice to have you on the forums! I saw you in chat earlier but you "disappeared" before I could say hello! lol

I'm a horse rider too! Do you have your own horses?

Lol, I was going to ask you too! While this is a cornsnake forum, some of us sneak into general chat and post pictures of our horses. Welcome!

Sharon

I noticed you in the chat room too haha. You kept leaving though... so I was like well guess she isn't here... so I just kind of left, then you came back, then I left... it was all complicated haha... and then I just decided to go to sleep.

I don't have my own horse. I sure wish I did. I used to have a horse and I worked at a couple of different horse farms. No horses any more though.

What kind do you have? I'm guite partial to Tennessee Walking Horses myself... though I wouldn't turn nice a nice Paso. I love gaited horses. Then of course there are mustangs... thoroughbreds, qhs... haha basically anything. I'm not a fan of the saddlebreds though... I've only met one I liked and I worked on a saddlebred farm =P Most of them were pretty crazy.

Now, I can get in on a horse discussion. I don't have any now, but I use to have 2 TWH and 1 Saddlebred that was my 5 gaited show horse. I miss them.

My first horse was a dappled gray QH, but my baby now is a 17.1 h thoroughbred/warmblood. I've never really worked with any gaited horses.

I've never ridden a 5 gaited sadddlebred. I showed some 3... but they were all crazy and I just wasn't too fond of them. They were all really tall... a bit intimidating when they got all crazy like that haha.

My TWHs though... I've had 3 over the course of my life so far. I've loved them all. I used to work at a TWH breeding farm... they had some gorgeous animals.

Gaited horses are awsome. I suggest you trying one out. They are amazing hehe. I like the w/t/c horses... but man those gaited horses really get me going. =P

Do you guys have any pics of your horses? Since all mine have been sold, I've kind of missed looking at them. =(

Yes, I have pictures, but they were all taken will a regular "film" camera. Sorry. This was back before digital was the standard.

What a cutie!! I have a picture of my first horse... but its an old film one too haha. I don't have time to scan it and upload it and all that fun stuff... but as soon as I do, I'll post it up here. He was in the process of starting undersaddle work.... and hes a little pudgy (it was winter haha)... but I think hes cute. He got tall too. =P I bet he matured some where around 16hands. He's 7 now... wasn't the best gaited, but after some work, he became a WHOLE lot better. I miss that guy. =(
