I want to run this question through reptile owners

I am writing a book series revolving around dragons. Now taking from the reptile species is it safe to assume that dragons too would shed when growing? What is everyone's thoughts on this? Yes I know it's fantasy but I do try to make my series somewhat believable. Thanks for the help and sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

Hmmmm ? I can't think of a reptile that doesn't shed.

Here's a pic of my beautiful dragon. She Sheds ;)

What a beautiful dragon!!! As for the eating the shed I am debating it. Knowing that they are going extinct they would want to keep hidden and anyone finding a shed would immediately be on the hunt for a dragon. I put a lot of thought into every aspect of the series.
