That One Weird Girl
This thought just came into my head. If I buy a breeding pair of mice, is it possible that from those two that the offspring will be different colored? Would one or both the mice contain genes that produce a variety of new colored babies?

If you get solid white parents you'll likely be stuck with that forever (which has its pros and cons). If you want some variety, just get a couple of "fancy" ones of different colors and you'll get a lot of different babies.

I had mice as pets at one time. The female was white (not albino) and the male was black with brown belly. Their babies were a mix of some looking like mom and some looking like dad and some white with black spots.

Yeah, by white I mean albino, with red eyes. If you just got one non-albino and bred it with an albino you should get a mix too.

I bought two white albinos. It's all we can get for cheap. But they have different colored offspring so I think I have a chance at mixes. It's a thought.
