This is the latest from the local petstore, it was one that had been abandoned in an apartment when the tennets moved out. Very friendly, only time it has showed any aggression when I went to put it bac IN (not out) of cage and it went head first into hide, but before it was done unwrapping off of my wrist, it flew back out toward my hand in a striking position, didn't strike, but man is he a fast one!

I am not so sure of what morph he is....I have my guess and am pretty certain, but I know it isn't what the petstore had labeled. So, before I taint any response by giving my ideas, can you help me out here? I know there are plenty of experts who can take a 2 seconds to name any corn put before them, so I come to you, lol. One thing I noticed is that compared to the other 5 corns I have, his scales feel a little different. It may be the coniditons that he was in because as I have for awhile they are feeling more like normal but before when I first brought him home, they felt sorta softer, kinda "hairier"???? But also the lack of the normal head markings caught my attention as well.... So What is he?

That's not a corn snake. It looks like a gray rat to me. Maybe someone with more general ratsnake knowledge will confirm.

I'm not a big 'rat' person myself, but grey rat was the first thing that came to mind... :shrugs:

Wha???? You mean this isn't the Ghost Corn that the petshop had him listed as!!!!!

Yeah, I suspected that he was a grey rat (or in the very least a hybrid), haven't had much experience with them to know what all they are like, but I really liked the look of him and he was so sweet, that I got him.

This was the one that was in with the "Red Rat Snake" that I was told repeatedly wasn't a corn snake but a red rat snake....and this one was a ghost corn. ;) of course, what should I expect, this is the store that I got a free Leucistic Texas Rat Snake from (with the bugged eyes of course) when someone who lives in town "found" it in their front yard and brought it into the shop. They didn't know what to do with it because they thought it was an albino garter......sigh, at least it is never boring to go in there, lol.

Thanks all for the input!
