Eternally Confused
Well, as you know, my eggs from Apopha's second clutch have been hatching. They are finally all out of the eggs and doing great. My first clutch did not go very well at all (I thought I had 7 good eggs, but only had 2...one of which died during incubation). Let me just say that this second clutch has more than made up for the misfortune of the first. 24 viable eggs...all of which have pipped and hatched and appear healthy. Needless to say, I'm ecstatic, exhausted and relieved all at once. Anyway, here is a picture of each baby. I haven't sexed them yet, so still don't know on that one.

Amel #1 - The curious, but cautious one.

Too cute! Love the personalities on each of them :D

Those amels have some nice thick white borders on their saddles!!

Thank you! :) And I am really hoping that the amels all keep that thick white bordering. After everyone has shed I will try to catch a few more shots to show how they are doing.

:D Thank you! Some of them really have some great character. The "fiesty and in your face" one is just adorable. Aside from striking, he also hisses and "puffs". Little cobra. The "Gentle and clingy" normal is just the biggest sweetheart. From the moment I picked it up, it just curls up in my hand and wraps it's little tail around my finger, then explores as far as it's tail allows. They're all fantastic. Raising hatchlings has been so much fun.

How is normal #2 doing? Did it fall off okay??

This little one is doing perfect. :) The umbilical shriveled after the yolk had been mostly absorbed and it fell off today. Thank you so much for the help!

Thia made me smile!!!!
Thanks!!!!

You're very welcome!

They're adorable! But do a couple of them look a little wrinkly to anyone else? is that normal?

That is normal....they were freshly hatched. They have all plumped up nicely and look great!

I had all of them out today, checking for kinks and any other troubles. Everyone looks great and no problems! Yay! Also sexed everyone (boy, that was fun... /sarcasm). I tried to offer pinkys, but no one was biting, so I think I'll wait for a few more days. Anyway, here was the count on sexes.

Snow: 2 male and 1 female
Normals: 2 male and 3 female
Anerys: 5 male and 3 female
Amels: 6 male and 2 female
