If Only Dreams Came True

I'd have loved to see the self-cleaning and watering display cases. I'd love to HAVE the self cleaning and watering display cases...

Oh, and you're welcome in Mississippi anytime. There's lots of places to go herp hunting around here. Just look what I found DOR just down the road from my house.

A almost cried when I saw this big, beautiful king snake. I believe it is a speckled king. His underside was bright yellow. He was, I'm guessing, 3 1/2 to 4 feet long and bigger around than a quarter. He was bigger than my Cal King, and he is 3 feet long.

If only I could catch the @$$hole who went out of his way to murder this beauty... :flames: :twoguns: :twoguns: :flames:

Thanks! Herpin' in New England is not always a productive affair. But you'd need to have those karate kids guard Onyx, because I was looking at pics of him the other day, and I want him. :grin01: I love his white face and dot-head. :)

That is sad. Looks kinda like a Florida too-- maybe a Speckled x Florida intergrade. The snake WAS a beauty. I can't imagine swerving intentionally to hit any animal. I hate it on those spring evenings when there are a million froglets bouncing all over the roadway, and you have no choice but to drive through. :(

Um... There's something you should know....I'M testing for my black belt next month. You'll have to go through ME to get my Onyx! :D

I don't know if Florida kings come over this far, but they might. And I know what you mean about hitting animals. I accidently killed an armadillo once and it made me sick. Literally. They crunch... :puke01:

At least that one was a nice corn dream. I remember the first time I was about to hatch a clutch of eggs, and I had this really horrible dream about all the babies coming out deformed, like a second head where there should have been the cloaca, the coloration changing suddenly from being an amel to an anery half way down, the snakes without eyes, only half the bodies being formed before hatching so the snake just stopped existing frem the belly back or vice versa. It was not a good dream at all.

Uh oh! Well, I'm not much of a tough guy, so I guess I'd better just buy my own at some point, and leave Onyx with you! :grin01:

Not all of mine have been nice. I have these dreams where I leave my corns in someone else's care, and I come back and they're cut in half, but still alive! Or sometimes their scales have rotted away, and they're all patchy and disgusting. I had one of the "bad scales" dreams about my blizzard female a few weeks ago. I woke up afterward, at about 04:00 in the morning, and I got her out and held her perfect self for about fifteen minutes to get over it.

Another DOR...

I found this DOR in almost the same place as the last one. This is a Southern Copperhead, and it measured about 3'.

Why can't I find them when they're still alive?
