Nature has a system of checks and balances. You need more snakes to keep the rodent population in your freezer in check. Who are we to upset the natural order of things.

BRILLIANT! ;) Next time I need to con my way into something, I may have to consult you first.

I see visions of new corns in my near future. :grin01:

Haha Supply and demand.

Honey we need more snakes to dimm down the number of mice...later on it'll be Honey you need to work more to bring that population of mice back up..

then it'll go back and forth back and forth lol till your waist deep in snakes lol

OMG! I just noticed how lame my subject header is. With 4 toddlers to constanttly tend to and a Dog in my lap, I started the header to say:

Good to hear the order went in, after yesterday's feeding the stock is really low....almost as low as the checking account after this. LOL

And yeah, what she said!

Wow. And you breed some yourself too. You must be buying a couple of thousand pinks for the new motley legion of '06. :)

Nah. Most of the pinks through fuzzies I feed, I breed myself. Its just so much easier.

I seem to have a lot better luck getting them started out on live food with the live gut cultures. Then as they get up to the age where they're eating mice the size of which I don't have much of left by the time all the pinks and fuzzies are fed off, f/t works quite well for them.

I also seem to have a lot less regurge issues when feeding live or pre-killed pinks through fuzzies than with f/t of the same size. Don't ask me what the difference is, but its enough of a difference that I rarely buy f/t pinks or fuzzies. Just enough for emergencies in case my garage and mouse colony is blown away in a twister.

And yes Tammy, the order shipped today and he's planning on e-mailing me later tonight or tomorrow with the Greyhound tracking number. He said it should be a couple of days before it gets here. I know how you feel, with all of my adults eating f/t adult mice, and breeding females eating two adults per sitting, I ran out last Friday. =P

Welcome to the rodent club! I just ordered 800 adult mice & 500 pinks. The price was right! :shrugs:

That would make a good thread, how many do you have... :)
You should start that one in general chit-chat. I think that would be an interesting thread.
Where does everyone order their rodents from? I get mine from Big Cheese.
