Do any of you have or know where I can find blueprints to build your own incubator? Not something made out of Styrofoam, something made out if wood w/shelves.
I would build an incubator out of Styrofoam and not of wood. Simply for the reason of insulation. In case of a powercut or any technical difficulties the styrofoam will keep the temp for a good while. A friend of mine converted an old fridge into an incubator using a ceramic heating unit inside.
unless you want to insulate the wood with styrofaom. In that case I can send you on a nice idea. Send me a PM if interested.
I had a Hova bator but that was not big enough. I went and got a 4 foot by 8 foot by 2 inch piece of styrofoam from Home depot, made a 2x2x4 box out of it. I cut a hole in the top and placed the Hova bator lid on top. It worked great and kept everything at the right temps.
