I was wondering if anyone has first hand experience with, or has an Aesculapian Rat Snake...!?
(Elaphe longissima)
From the research I have done, they range from the eastern Iberian Peninsula to the extreme northwestern part of Iran.
Does anyone know someone that breads them, or has a collection?
Also, from what I have found, they are said to be somewhat on the gentle side as far as temperament for Rat Snakes are concerned. Is this accurate?
Also, what are their requirements as far as housing, etc? I would assume it would be close to the corn or rat snake requirements, but slightly different as they have been found in dry/sandy areas...!?
Any info would be appreciated, thanks...!
