Serpwidgets, I remember you musing over head patterns possibly being inherited a whle back on kingsnake. Have you ever noticed how some hatchlings also take after their parents that have minor aberrancies? This popped into my head this morning as I checked on everyone before going to work. One of last year's holdbacks has the same joined saddle pattern as her dad....in the same spot....looks kinda aztec-ish. When my first batch of eggs hatched out this year, 6 or so of 14 have the same couple of saddles joined as a zigzag in you guessed it, the same spot as their sire.
Is it me or has anyone else noticed this?
