Instructional videos?

I've been wanting to make some kind of videos about reptiles for youtube for a long time and I've finally got myself a decent webcam. I've already got a video planned on how to set up a basic, nice looking, functional, proper tank for a hatchling/juvenile corn snake. I know some people already do this, but I feel like these kinds of videos are sparse and not so informative. I want to put a great deal of time and effort into these kinds of videos so that if someone comes across them they are able to understand and see clearly what, how, when, and why to do something with your corn or your husbandry.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Anybody want to collaborate with me sometime or exchange/share info about husbandry and so on?

Sidenote: Another big reason I want to make these videos is for the simple fact that forums can be a pain to navigate, and google searches yield either too many results or none at all regarding care for certain animals. I've had to refer to books quite a bit, and I know people my age and younger are less inclined to pick up a book and more likely to watch a video. In short: I wanna help educate people about reptiles in general.

Love the idea. My favorite rule on how to list items on eBay fits this too: take pictures as if there is no written description, write a description like there are no pictures.

I know this is a video, but remember that most people watching will be clueless, so visually and audibly walk them through each step as if they were in grade school. What you think is basic knowledge about, say, cleaning the water dish may not be taken as important unless you show them how to clean and scrub the water dish before refilling. Simple things like that you want to explain and record.

I would love to help with the video, let me know what you need! Great project!

I've already started the first video and it's mostly done, I just have to record the instructions and add that audio to the video.

I really like the idea of treating these as if they were for a grade school student. I will definitely be doing that. And I will definitely be posting a link to the video here...unless that would violate the rules about posting links to other websites, but I'm not selling anything so I don't think so lol.

Here's the first bit of my script for this video.

"In this video I will be showing you how to set up a basic enclosure for a hatchling or juvenile corn snake.

I will be using the most basic equipment that you will need to keep your corn snake alive and healthy for years to come. You can buy nearly everything you need in one trip to your local pet shop, with the exception of a thermostat, which can be purchased at any hardware store or online --it also doesn't hurt to check any thrift stores in the area as these have been a boon to my collection of spare equipment."
