Introducing myself...and Fyre =)

Hello there, new friends! My name is Karrie, and my wee little one is Fyre!

I have been lurking around this forum for about a week now, reading up and taking in all the information I could about corn snakes (granted, there is still so much more to learn) before going to go get my girl. I wanted to be sure I had the right set up and know a little bit of what I was getting into to make sure she would have a good home.

We went and picked her up last night and what a cutie she is, and very gentle. She is a bit skiddish but that's to be expected, after all, I am a giant compared to her..lol.

The gent that I got her from said she was due to eat the day before but he knew we were coming so he didn't feed her, so she could travel home easier. After we got her home, we handled her a bit and then I placed her in a shoe box to feed her. WOW....that's all I could muster as I watched her. Mind you I have never seen a snake feed so this was all new to me. She took it right away and with out any problems, so I felt good knowing she ate. Since she is so new, I didn't really get any good pictures of her as she is squirmy, but I did get some as she fed (since she was fairly still then), so have a look and I'm sure you'll agree she's a cutie =)

I look forward to chatting with all of you!!

Karrie and Fyre

Hi Karrie! :wavey:

What a little beauty Fyre is! And the pic with your child is precious. I have 5 and 6 yo boys, and they love our snakes! It's nice to start them out at a young age! ;)

This is a fantastic forum, and we look forward to getting to know you better.
