ive heard that you shouldnt use that stuff because it can harbor mites, is that true? also how should i go about cleaniing it? use a little bleach diluted in water?

I've heard only bad things about it, and as far as cleaning it, I'm not sure. My guess would be to throw it away, and spend 7 bucks on some aspen...

I'll agree with the Aspen. I spend $12.99 on the BIG bag. Its easy to clean, last a LONG time, and is the safest substrate I've found for your snake :)

are you serious I'm not making fun of you or anything but you don't know what aspen is made out of lol well to answer your question its aspen shavings from an aspen tree lol

Aspen is shavings from a hardwood tree which means it is much safer than softwood shavings like pine.

I used to use atro turf but i changed to aspen as it was very hard to keep clean and to clean.

I changed from aspen to care fresh, it is processed paper. i like it better because it doesnt cling to everything like the aspen and my adults can burrow better and i use less of the carefresh to cover more areas... it is great.
