Hi. I am fairly new to mice breeding. I have a few lab cages setup with one male /2 female in them. My first female that i have had for a while had a nice litter a few months ago and raised all her babies nicely. The same female recently was pregnant again and looked like a golf ball with a tail. The other day she started popping a few out and they looked premature, the next day she killed them. And then i noticed she was in pain and had a baby stuck in her canal and she dies shortly after. Is this common in mice or did something cause this? Is it stress related or just something that happens sometimes? Is it possible that she produced so many baby that's what caused the complications? She was definitely way fatter this time then when she had her first litter. Any thoughts from experienced breeder will be appreciated. Thanks.
