Is it true that if i house two corns togeather they eateachother

Depends. If you feed them together then probably but if you feed them seperately maybe not. It can and will happen to evryone who does it. The sizes of both snakes must be close or the same!!

There are a lot of threads on that already if you want to use the search feature. Basically, it may happen. Or it may not. Cannibalism in corns is not especially common, but it does happen from time to time regardless of whether or not you feed them together or if they "look happy together". I don't see the point in risking losing one when an extra setup isn't all that expensive to set up.

There's always a risk. However, i can guarantee you that if you house them seperate that they will NOT eat each other.

Housing 2 corns together

I considered putting 2 together when I 1st started thinking about getting more - of course then I was only getting 1 more and now I've got 3 more!

Okay, so 1) quarantine new snakes = don't keep them together, and 2) cannibalism (tho a remote possibility) = don't keep them together, and 3) the delicate nature of hatchlings (mainly regarding stress) = don't keep them together.

I decided against it. I realized that I can't risk anything happening to my snakes that could be avoided with a few precautions. Right now they are housed in seperate shoe boxes, hopefully my rack will be done soon and they will have their own 31 qt. sterilite each!

As a newbie I tend to err on the side of caution. :shrugs:

BTW . . . I just want to add that while I think cannibalism is a remote possibility, the fact that it IS a remote possibility is enough. It is a remote possibility I will get hit by a car when I'm in a crosswalk, yet I know that it's POSSIBLE so I still look both ways . . . LOL
