...or does it need to be some sort of special water? I have been using the water from my refridgerat or because it is filtered but it is kind of a pain so I want to just use the water from my regular faucet. Is this okay?
 
I think it depends on what the water is like in your area. I use tap water though, and I've never had a problem.
 
I use tap water with dechlorifier (just because I have a fish tank and have the stuff around the house).
 
I've been keeping Corns for 15 years and they've always had tap water. No problem that I'm aware of.
