in 2004 a friend of mine had a clutch of 22 eggs, but only 3 hatched.
he didn't want to keep them so he gave them to me.
the parents were a caramel het. stripe and a amel stripe motley poss. het caramel and bloodred.
the 3 young-ones all look alike. all 3 of them are stripe/motley.
the remarkable thing was all 3 of them seem to lack the colour black and red in their body's and have allot yellow. now my question:
are they normal stripe/motley (het. butter) or am I damn lucky an are they caramel stripe/motley het. butter?

i cant conclusively say due to the pics, but they do look somewhere inbetween normal and caramel, no help at all lol... talk about sit on the fence

It depends on which pic is accurate. The first one looks like a caramel motley, the second one looks like an amel motley het caramel. (But they're obviously the same snake, so it can only be one or the other.) :shrugs:

Heh, not AMEL motley... I meant a normal motley het caramel. ;)

thx the real color is somewere between pic 1 and 2  LOL
i think I'll just breed them together and see what the offspring will be...
if there caramels and butters the parents must be caramel motleys.
if there are any amels or normals in them then the parents must be normal motleys...right?

I have to agree with Serp. Depending on which pic you look at, the snake could be either one. Got any hatchling pics of the snake?

Yep, looks like a Caramel striped motley to me. Your light sources for the photos don't help, however. :) When looking at colors, you should always try to use a flash or natural sunlight as the light source. Incandescent bulbs and fluorescent light tubes can really change the way the colors look.

thx for the advice.
the pictures are taken with a cam-phone that explains the (not so good) quality :awcrap:
