Is This a Good Thermostat

R.W.

Call me Richard
Well, I finally found a place that had a thermostat but I didn't know if it was a good brand. I got there labout 7 minutes before closing, so iread the back and went ahead and got it. It claims to do what I need but I got the reciept just in case. The package says: ESU Reptile, 3-outlet, one thousand watt capacity, Electronic Temperature Controller.

Is it good or should I take it back and get something better? Thing is I can't get the temp. to go below 111F with the rheostat I have now. :eek1: :eek1: :eek1:

That's a fine thermostat, it’s along the lines of a Zoo-Med or Big Apple Herp. I used the Big Apple Herp with good success. Just make sure you run a digital thermometer probe along side the thermostat probe to verify the temperatures over your UTH.

As an FYI...that's an analog thermostat so you will probably be +/- 2 to 3 degrees from your target temperature at times so don’t expect it to hold your temperature at the exact setting you call for.

Regards,
Steve

Thanks!

Thank you so much! you have no idea how relieved I am to here that! :) :crazy02:
